Trinity Open Learning (TOL) is committed to social responsibility and recognizes the importance of transparency in its approach to human rights and specifically to the combat against modern slavery. This statement is structured to address the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps TOL has taken and continues to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our organization or supply chain.

Organizational Structure and Supply Chains:

TOL is a provider of professional education based in the UK, offering a range of qualifications and training programs. We are dedicated to providing a safe and equitable environment for all students, staff, and partners associated with the College.

Our supply chains primarily consist of educational materials providers, technology service providers, facility management companies, and various goods and services suppliers necessary for the everyday running of an educational institution.

Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking:

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or our supply chains. The policies we have in place reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. These policies include:

1. Modern Slavery Policy: This outlines our stance on modern slavery and sets clear expectations for staff and suppliers.
2. Whistleblowing Policy: This encourages all employees, customers, and suppliers to report any suspicion of slavery or human trafficking without fear of retaliation.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking:

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we have in place systems to:

• Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
• Protect whistle blowers.

Supplier Adherence to Our Values:

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain comply with our values, we have in place a supply chain compliance program. This consists of:

• Supplier assessments, potentially including audits of business practices.
• Contractual obligations specifically addressing slavery and human trafficking.
• Termination of contracts where non-compliance with our policies is discovered.

Training:

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to relevant members of staff. All directors have been briefed on the subject.

This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed and updated every year to reflect our ongoing commitment and to report on progress made.

Approval:

This statement has been formally approved by the Management and Directors of Trinity Open Learning and is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year.
