Overview

The Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is designed for students who have or want to advance to a more senior role in a company managing health and safety policies and practises. Learners will obtain the skills and information necessary to comprehend the legal and regulatory context as well as occupational health and safety policies, as well as to assess policies and recommend and execute policy modifications. Learners will gain information and skills related to implementing policies, using management systems and resources, risk and incident management, leadership and management, and skill development.

Progression

Successful completion of the Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety qualification provides learners with the academic knowledge, understanding, and skills to work towards gaining competence in a range of occupational health and safety roles. OTHM is currently applying for the qualification to be recognised as mapping to the IOSH standards to enable IOSH graduate membership status for all certificated learners. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners are eligible to gain direct entry into a relevant Master’s degree programme..
