The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) is a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching and training for those seeking a career in education or training. The Level 3 AET is a vocational qualification comparable to the first year of an undergraduate degree. Although comparable qualifications may exist in other countries, it is governed by Ofqual in England.

Entry requirements

For entry onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification, learners must possess:
  • Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course.

Modules structure

This qualification is divided into 6 units. One unit is mandatory. Learners must also choose a minimum of 6 credits from options group A and a minimum of 3 credits from options group B to achieve 12 credits to receive the Award.
